Cottonwood Heights was officially incorporated in 2005 making it the newest city in Salt Lake County. Cottonwood Heights is roughly located between 6600 South to Creek Road to the south and 1300 east to the mountain range on the east.
In 2007, Money magazine rated Cottonwood Heights at #100 on their ‘100 Best Places to Live’ list which takes into account every city in the nation. Cottonwood Heights was chosen due to its financial stability, housing availability, low property taxes, great education, low crime, its leisure and cultural attractions, transportation access, neighborhood congeniality and so on.
With many of the homes nestled in the hillside trees, Cottonwood Heights location is in the sweet spot of Salt Lake County for those that love close access to the two major canyons on either side and all of the recreational facilities in the area.
